Behind the Design - The Marrakesh Blouse

Some pieces come together quickly, while others linger long before they find their way onto paper. The Marrakesh Blouse is one of those pieces.
Inspired by my travels through Morocco last year, this blouse carries with it so many memories of a place that left a lasting impression on me. From wandering the winding ancient medinas to discovering hidden riads tucked behind weathered walls, I found myself constantly drawn to the colours of Morocco.
Soft, sun-washed neutrals, dusty rose tones, warm clay hues and faded stone textures seemed to tell stories of centuries gone by. There was a quiet beauty in the way everything appeared softened by time and sunlight.

When I returned home, I couldn't stop thinking about those colours and the memories left behind. I wanted to create a piece that captured that same sense of effortless elegance and understated luxury.
The silhouette of the Marrakesh Blouse was inspired by the vastness of the Sahara and the beautiful billowing tents that dot the desert landscape. Watching fabric move gently with the desert breeze felt magical. I wanted to recreate that sense of movement through a silhouette that drapes softly over the body while still maintaining shape and structure.
The result is a blouse that feels relaxed and comfortable, yet undeniably refined.
What I love most about this piece is that it doesn't demand attention. Instead, it carries a quiet confidence, a sense of opulence that feels subtle rather than extravagant.
Designing the Marrakesh Blouse felt like bringing a small piece of Morocco home with me. Every time I wear it, I'm reminded of golden afternoons spent exploring bustling souks, the warmth of the desert sun, and the incredible artistry woven into everyday life throughout Morocco.
This one will hold a particularly special place in my heart.
It is more than a blouse; it is a collection of memories, experiences and inspiration woven together into something I hope you'll treasure like I will and wear for years to come.

Somewhere that I’ve always wanted to go! I have the shirt now I just need the plane ticket :)
Really enjoying the stories behind how you came to design each piece. Thank you.
